These terms explain how Chrono-Tec works with you, and the terms on which this website is provided. By asking us to work on your watch, you agree to the service terms below.

Estimates

Every job starts with a free, no-obligation estimate. Estimates are given in good faith based on the information available at the time. If, once we've examined your watch, the work needed differs from what was estimated, we will contact you and agree any change before proceeding. No chargeable work is carried out without your approval.

Carrying out the work

We carry out all work with reasonable skill and care, using appropriate tools, materials, and parts. Where original or period-correct parts are unavailable, we will discuss suitable alternatives with you before using them. Timescales given are estimates; some work — such as sourcing parts for vintage pieces — can take longer than expected, and we will keep you informed.

Guarantee

Our repair, servicing, and restoration work is backed by our 24-month guarantee. If a fault directly related to work we carried out reappears within that period, we will put it right at no extra cost. The guarantee covers our workmanship and the parts we fitted; it does not cover unrelated faults, accidental damage, water ingress after case opening by others, or normal wear. The guarantee runs for 24 months from completion of the work unless a different period is agreed with you in writing.

Your watch while in our care

We take genuine care of every watch entrusted to us and keep watches securely while in our care. Please tell us about anything unusual we should know — previous repairs, sentimental engravings, known faults — when we agree the work.

Payment

Payment is due when the agreed work is complete. The price you pay is the price agreed in your estimate, plus any changes explicitly agreed with you during the work.

Your statutory rights

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 for services to be performed with reasonable care and skill.
